Crash consistent VM restore points in Azure

Hello Guys,

If you are looking for a simple and effective way to protect your Azure workloads from data loss or disaster, you might be interested in the new feature that is now available in public preview: crash consistent VM restore points.

A crash consistent VM restore point is an agentless solution that stores the VM configuration and point-in-time write-order consistent snapshots for all managed disks attached to a Virtual Machine. This is same as the status of data in the VM after a power outage or a crash.

Azure site Recovery higher churn support

Hi guyss,

In this blog post, I want to share some exciting news about Azure Site Recovery (ASR), the service that helps you protect your applications by orchestrating replication, failover and recovery of virtual machines and physical servers.

One of the challenges that some customers face with ASR is the high churn rate of their workloads, which means that they have frequent changes in the data or configuration of their machines. This can result in increased replication traffic, storage consumption and recovery point objectives (RPOs).

Azure Bastion: Shareable links

Azure Bastion: Shareable links

If you are using Azure Bastion to access your virtual machines in Azure, you might have wondered if there is a way to share the connection with others. For example, maybe you want to collaborate with a colleague on troubleshooting an issue, or you want to demonstrate something to a client or a stakeholder. Well, the good news is that Azure Bastion now supports shareable links for RDP and SSH sessions!

Shareable links are unique URLs that you can generate from the Azure portal when you connect to a VM using Azure Bastion. The link will allow anyone who has it to join the same session as you, without needing to have access to the Azure portal or the VM itself. You can also set an expiration time for the link, so that it will become invalid after a certain period.

DR secondary free with SQL Server on Azure VM

Hey, did you know that you can get disaster recovery (DR) secondary for free with SQL Server on Azure VM? That’s right, you can use Azure Hybrid Benefit to save up to 49% on your SQL Server license costs and get a free passive replica for high availability and DR purposes. This is a great way to protect your data and applications from unplanned downtime and disasters, without breaking the bank.

Azure Event Grid: SAP S/4HANA events

Hi guysss,

In this blog post, I want to share with you how you can use Azure Event Grid to handle events from SAP S/4HANA, the leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. SAP S/4HANA events are business events that occur in the system, such as creating a sales order, posting a journal entry, or changing a customer address. These events can be useful for integrating SAP S/4HANA with other applications, such as analytics, workflow, or notification services.

Windows Admin Center for Azure Virtual Machines

Hey there, welcome to my blog!

Today I want to share with you a cool feature that I recently discovered: you can now use Windows Admin Center in the Azure portal to manage the Windows Server operating system inside an Azure VM. This means you can access a bunch of useful tools for managing your VM without having to use Remote Desktop or PowerShell. You can do things like view performance metrics, install updates, configure firewall rules, manage files and more.

Finally!!! Static IP configurations of private endpoints

Hello everyone! I have some great news to share with you today. Microsoft Azure has just announced the support for static IP configurations of private endpoints. This means that you can now assign a fixed IP address to your private endpoints, and avoid any issues with dynamic IP changes. This is a huge improvement for scenarios where you need to whitelist specific IP addresses for security or compliance reasons. You can also use static IP configurations to simplify your network management and troubleshooting.

Support for HANA System Replication in Azure Backup for HANA

Hi guyyyyss,

In this blog post, I’m going to talk about a new feature that is now available in public preview: Support for HANA System Replication in Azure Backup for HANA.

If you are using SAP HANA databases on Azure VMs, you probably know that Azure Backup provides a backint certified, streaming backup solution that protects your data with minimal impact on performance. But what if you also have HANA System Replication (HSR) enabled for your databases? HSR is a disaster recovery (DR) solution that replicates your data from a primary node to a secondary node in real time.
